Coqtail
/ kɒk·teɪl /
There are many stories about the origins of the first cocktail. Many of them are fanciful myths, and some have never been confirmed. However, they all have one fundamental element in common: a rooster's tail. Used as a garnish, and evoked by the shape of a carafe or the colors of a liquid mixture, it represents the inspiration that guided the first bartenders as they experimented with the rudiments of mixology. This gave rise to Coqtail, our neologism that recounts the history of fine drinking.
