Labels guide audiences, shape expectations, define aesthetic languages and help create a sense of belonging. Some open up new possibilities, while others ultimately impose limitations. Meanwhile, bartenders and venues operate within a system where public perception often carries almost as much weight as the quality of the service itself.

Coqtail
/ kɒk·teɪl /
There are many stories about the origins of the first cocktail. Many of them are fanciful myths, and some have never been confirmed. However, they all have one fundamental element in common: a rooster's tail. Used as a garnish, and evoked by the shape of a carafe or the colors of a liquid mixture, it represents the inspiration that guided the first bartenders as they experimented with the rudiments of mixology. This gave rise to Coqtail, our neologism that recounts the history of fine drinking.
